Lead Product Designer, AI

About the Position

We are seeking a Lead Product Designer, AI to join our AI Design team at Atlassian. You’ll work on AI experiences across all of Atlassian, including Rovo, our flagship AI experience. Our team is primarily based in Australia and the west coast of North America.

Responsibilities

• Craft AI experiences for Rovo, our flagship AI product experience
• Collaborate across the Atlassian app portfolio, such as Jira, Confluence, and Loom, on applied AI
• Be the example of designing AI with AI and enable the design organization on harnessing the power of AI for ourselves
• Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional teams to create a unified view of AI capabilities across Atlassian
• Collaborate with some of the industry's smartest (and nicest) people. You'll work with Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, Marketing Experts, and Analysts to advocate for the user experience in our products and ship high-quality work

Requirements

• 7+ years of product design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software
• Previous experience in applied AI on product experiences such as Search, AI Chat, and Agents
• Experience balancing customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility
• Craft and systems thinker-you can demonstrate the ability to integrate the work of multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, and facilitate design discussions that lead company wide outcomes
• Experience improving process and methodology to increase product value, team velocity and accelerate adoption of new capabilities
