About the Position
Our Client is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider. Their purpose is driving financial stability, empowering economies, and enabling customers to create sustainable growth.
We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to join a highly collaborative, cross-functional, software QA team responsible for functional testing, performance testing, and data validation across a variety of technologies. This role will be based in Beijing, with support both locally and from the wider teams.
Responsibilities
- Set project testing strategy/test plan: test environment, automation, performance, test data management, testing tools, etc.
- Lead functional/non-functional testing and business-oriented end-to-end integration.
- Set clear automation goals and drive automation implementation.
- Collaborate with Solution Architect and BA for non-functional requirements and set the performance testing plan.
- Follow best practices and QA methodologies and processes, working across critical stages of the product lifecycle from define to build.
- Understand the business use cases and carry out testing to ensure top quality of delivered solutions.
- Understand and analyze the Requirement Specifications and design test scenarios.
- Review and analyze completeness of test coverage.
- Carry out Functional testing and Non-functional testing.
- Solve technical issues and challenges in testing work.
- Execute Test Scripts, Defect tracking in applicable tool, Status Reporting, Defect Reporting.
- Oversees the maintenance of all customer technology solutions, ensuring all issues are resolved on time.
- Drive continuous improvement from a quality perspective.
- Responsible for communicating the status of ongoing work to stakeholders accurately.
- Provide coaching to junior staff (Associate Engineer, Engineer, and Senior Engineer) as needed.
Requirements
Must have
- 10+ years experience in Software QA or Development Engineer role.
- Proven ability to drive and implement test strategies/test plan, including automation, performance, E2E integration, test environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Software QA methodologies and experience of agile testing.
- Strong background with test automation.
- Excellent coding skills in Python or Java.
- Proven record to set the quality measurement model and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent coaching skills.
- Good communication and influence skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of SDLC, CICD, and Git (source code repository).
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.
- Cloud testing experience (Azure, AWS, etc) and relevant certificates are preferred.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of financial services is a plus.
