About the Position
We are looking for a Lead Ruby Developer to join our collaborative team.
Our client is a leading American multinational enterprise specializing in software solutions, providing a cloud-based platform that enables seamless automation, integration, and coordination of AI functionalities across diverse applications, data environments, and IT systems.
This is a hybrid role with required office visits in Wroclaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Warsaw, Katowice, Lodz, or Poznan.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable web applications using Ruby and the Rails ecosystem
- Apply deep expertise in PostgreSQL, including query optimization and direct SQL usage, to ensure efficient data management
- Implement and maintain robust testing practices using RSpec and TDD/BDD methodologies
- Work independently and take initiative in solving technical challenges with minimal supervision
- Provide technical leadership as a Tech Lead or Team Lead, addressing performance issues and preventing burnout within the team
- Drive career development and growth plans for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Ruby development or related roles
- Minimum of one year in a people management or team leadership position
- Proficiency in using Docker for containerization and deployment
- Familiarity with Redis for caching strategies or real-time data processing
- Exposure to ClickHouse for analytics or event logging solutions
- Basic frontend development experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Experience with background job processing tools like Sidekiq or RabbitMQ
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control workflows
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2+ level or higher
