Lead Salesforce Commerce Cloud Engineer

About the Position

On behalf of our Client, Mobilunity is looking for a Lead Engineer with deep Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience. Our client is a fast-growing e-commerce and digital experience company focused on building high-performance, scalable online retail solutions for global consumer brands. The company specializes in conversion optimization, modern commerce architecture, and AI-augmented engineering practices to deliver fast, resilient, and measurable digital commerce experiences.

This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who enjoys solving complex architecture challenges, leading migration initiatives, and driving engineering quality across large-scale commerce projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend and full-stack development across Salesforce Commerce Cloud engagements.
• Design scalable storefront architectures using PWA Kit, Composable Storefront, headless, and hybrid approaches.
• Own technical decisions related to performance, accessibility, maintainability, and frontend architecture.
• Develop and optimize integrations using SCAPI, OCAPI, and third-party commerce services.
• Lead implementation of core e-commerce features including catalog, checkout, search, promotions, bundles, and customer account experiences.
• Support migration planning and implementation from legacy commerce platforms into SFCC.
• Collaborate closely with clients, delivery teams, product stakeholders, and engineers.
• Lead code reviews and establish engineering standards and best practices.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and evaluate emerging SFCC capabilities and tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud projects
• Strong frontend engineering expertise with React, TypeScript, component architecture, and modern frontend ecosystems
• Experience with PWA Kit / Composable Storefront architectures
• Solid understanding of SFRA and hybrid SFCC implementations
• Experience designing and implementing integrations via SCAPI and OCAPI
• Strong understanding of e-commerce fundamentals including catalog, checkout, promotions, search, and order lifecycle
• Experience with migration projects from platforms such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom commerce solutions
• Experience working with integration-heavy commerce environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with stakeholders and clients
• Ability to drive technical leadership through engineering excellence and sound decision-making

Nice to Have

• Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications
• Experience with member-based or gated commerce experiences
• Experience integrating payment, tax, analytics, and identity platforms
• Experience working in agency or consultancy environments
• Familiarity with technical estimations, feature mapping, and delivery planning
