About the Position
We are seeking a Lead Salesforce Platform Engineer to drive a large-scale Salesforce transformation and enablement initiative, focusing on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud within a client-facing delivery setting. In this role, you will combine technical leadership, team management, and delivery ownership while supporting AI spec-driven engineering practices and collaborating across Salesforce and adjacent Java-based services.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day team management and delivery execution, ensuring alignment, task coordination, and performance feedback
- Maintain visibility of risks, priorities, capacity, and blockers while balancing business expectations with technical realities
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to align on scope, timelines, and commitments, providing pushback when needed
- Lead technical discovery, solution discussions, and implementation planning for Salesforce and related services
- Act as the primary technical counterpart for the team, translating architectural direction into actionable delivery items
- Support and guide complex implementation decisions, including POCs, MVPs, and validation of solutions
- Oversee and mature engineering processes, incorporating AI-assisted coding tools where appropriate
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment, professionalism, and reliable communication
- Drive the adoption of engineering and delivery best practices to improve the overall team output and consistency
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Salesforce, particularly in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Field Service Cloud
- Hands-on expertise in Salesforce capabilities, including LWC, Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Flow
- Strong understanding of Salesforce performance tuning, governor limits, bulkification, and integration patterns
- Proficiency in Salesforce CI/CD processes, SFDX/CLI, Git, and sandbox management
- Knowledge of Java and Spring frameworks, as well as infrastructure-as-code concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to participate in client-facing interactions
- Proven track record in leading technical teams and aligning execution with client expectations
Nice to Have
- Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation or enablement projects
- Background in Salesforce architecture, testing, and quality practices
- Production support experience, including issue triage and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with Marketing Cloud
