About the Position

We are seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting the organization's systems, data, and infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. You will collaborate across multiple teams to strengthen the overall security posture while driving continuous improvements in processes, tools, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Create, roll out, and uphold security policies, standards, and procedures that protect IT systems and confidential data
  • Triage incoming cybersecurity requests from multiple teams and oversee security intake queues to guarantee prompt resolution of concerns
  • Build, review, and audit Python-based automation scripts and tools that optimize IAM workflows and boost operational productivity
  • Establish, administer, apply, and revisit access rights and entitlements guided by least privilege and separation of duties principles
  • Maintain continuous alignment with applicable regulations and industry standards, while providing support for internal and external audit engagements
  • Track and evaluate security metrics to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and introduce initiatives that strengthen the security posture and overall efficiency
  • Work hand in hand with IT, DevOps, and other groups to integrate security throughout development and deployment lifecycles, and contribute to cross-functional efforts focused on elevating the organization's security

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity operations or comparable positions
  • At least one year of experience leading and managing development teams
  • Practical experience working with security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and similar solutions
  • Demonstrated background in overseeing projects, shaping process workflows, and refreshing policies, processes, and procedures
  • Sharp problem-solving and analytical capabilities for investigating issues and delivering effective solutions
  • Strong communication, time management, and collaborative skills to partner across a wide range of teams
  • A detail-focused approach with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
  • Outstanding English communication skills, both spoken and written, at a B2+ level or higher

Nice to Have

  • Recognized cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or similar credentials that validate advanced expertise in the field
