About the Company

King Group - an iGaming product company operating since 2012: 1000+ employees, 20+ brands, markets in Ukraine, Europe, and Tier 1. We are looking for a lawyer to support the IT and software direction of the group.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the legal support of the IT and software direction: contracts, IP, interaction with gaming/software providers and international counterparties. You will work in the Head of Legal team and be a partner for IT, Product, Finance, and Operations, helping to find practical solutions rather than just naming risks. The role combines Ukrainian and international legal directions, with the distribution of working time agreed upon.

Responsibilities

• Legal support of the IT and software direction of the group: development, use, licensing, commercialization, acquisition, and transfer of rights to software and other IP objects.
• Preparation, legal analysis, approval, and support of contract conclusion with IT and gaming/software counterparties: MSA, Software Development Agreements, License Agreements, Service Agreements, IP Assignment Agreements, SLA, and others.
• Legal support of interaction with B2B gaming and software providers and aggregators: structuring contractual relationships and current legal relationships.
• Legal support of international License, Service, and IP Assignment Agreements and interaction with non-residents: applicable law, jurisdiction, party liability, tax, and other cross-border risks.
• Legal support of interaction with residents of Diya City: analysis and structuring of contractual relationships, assessment of compliance of cooperation models with legislative requirements, risk minimization.
• Preparation, legal analysis, and support of the conclusion and execution of gig contracts.
• Legal advice to the business and internal teams on IT, software, IP, contract work, and interaction with international counterparties.
• Interaction with IT, Product, Finance, Operations, and other teams.
• Involvement in legal support of communication with players on Tier 1 market projects, contract work in the international legal direction (especially during periods of increased workload), and other projects requiring IT, gaming, or international legal expertise.
• Monitoring changes in legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to IT, software, and IP, and preparing recommendations for the business.

Requirements

• Higher legal education.
• 5+ years of legal experience in IT, iGaming, or related fields.
• Strong contract practice: MSA, software development, license agreements, IP assignment, SLA; experience in negotiating with international counterparties.
• Practical experience with IP and software-related issues: licensing, transfer of rights.
• Understanding of the B2B gaming/software provider model and experience in gambling/iGaming.
• Understanding of cross-border risks, including international taxation (license fees, use of intangible assets).
• English Upper-Intermediate or higher, spoken and written (work with contracts and foreign counterparties).
• Independence and result-orientation: ability to understand the business context of the task and bring it to completion.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of international iGaming regulation, experience in supporting B2B licensing.
• Practical experience in KYC/AML.
• Experience in the field of personal data protection (GDPR).
• Experience working with Diya City residents and gig contracts.
• Experience in preparing international taxation documentation (e.g., transfer pricing).
