Linux Embedded Software Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Linux Embedded Software Engineer to join our international high-tech consultancy team in Milano, Italy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software in C and C++ on Linux-based platforms
• Design, implement, and debug features for connected electronic devices
• Develop and test connectivity functionalities based on BLE, LoRa, and Zigbee technologies
• Perform software debugging, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
• Contribute to software verification, validation, and system activity testing
• Support the optimization of software performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software development and testing activities

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in embedded software development
• Proven ability to independently develop software using C and C++
• Experience working in Embedded Linux environments
• Knowledge of embedded communication protocols, including I2C, UART, and SPI
• Familiarity with wireless communication technologies such as BLE, LoRa, and Zigbee
• Fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken
• Strong motivation to embrace the Employeneurship model of TMC

We Offer

• A permanent employment contract
• A gross annual salary (Gross Annual Salary – RAL) not less than €32,000, in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) for Trade – Tertiary, Distribution, and Services
• A competitive compensation package that may include a project profit-sharing component, an individual annual learning and development budget of €4,000 net, and an annual welfare allowance
