About the Position
Are you motivated by optimization and business-critical application operations, and do you have strong Linux expertise? If so, you could be the Linux Operations Engineer we are looking for to join one of our Operations teams, where you will play a key role in managing and optimizing some of Denmark’s most innovative IT solutions.
Responsibilities
As our new Linux Operations Engineer, you will become part of Netcompany Operations, a department responsible for everything from application operations to infrastructure management across two data centers. You will join a small, highly skilled team focused on the optimization and operation of large, complex Enterprise Linux environments.
We are involved in every stage of the lifecycle: from proposal development and project delivery to daily operations, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Our customer base is highly diverse, ranging from small private companies to large public-sector initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a key link between our development teams and infrastructure specialists, playing a central role in delivering stable and efficient solutions.
As a Linux Operations Engineer, your responsibilities will typically include:
- Deploying, operating, and maintaining environments and applications based on Linux, Java, Oracle, and other modern technologies.
- Configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems in a technically challenging environment, with ownership of specific systems and technologies.
- Automating and streamlining operational tasks through scripting and programming.
- Participating in ongoing operations projects, taking responsibility for tasks aligned with your experience and professional development.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, software, IT, or a similar field or possess an equivalent level of qualification.
- Be motivated by delivering high-quality business-critical and mission-critical solutions.
- Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken) is a must.
