In the Center of Excellence Data, we shape the data foundation for the AI transformation of our customers. As Manager Data Governance, you will take on a leading role in transformation projects – with a focus on regulated industries, particularly Financial Services. You will combine strategic governance design with operational implementation and ensure that data platforms are not only high-performing but also regulatory compliant, auditable, and AI-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership in Data Governance: Provide expert guidance in customer projects focusing on Data Governance and the transition to AI Governance.
  • Framework Development: Develop and implement Data & AI Governance frameworks (Operating Model, Roles & Responsibilities, Policies, Controls).
  • Data Domain Design: Design data domain and Data Mesh governance structures.
  • Assessment & Roadmaps: Conduct maturity assessments, GAP analyses, and develop transformation roadmaps.
  • Regulatory Advice: Advise management on regulatory requirements and their implementation.
  • Solution Integration: Support the selection and implementation of governance and metadata management solutions.
  • Cloud Integration: Integrate governance structures into modern cloud and lakehouse architectures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations, particularly GDPR, DORA, and EU AI Act.

Requirements

  • Experience: Several years (minimum 5 years) in Data Governance, Data Management, or similar roles.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Proven experience in designing and rolling out governance programs in regulated environments, ideally in Financial Services.
  • Regulatory Understanding: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, DORA, EU AI Act) and their translation into operational processes.
  • Target Operating Models: Experience in developing target operating models and governance structures.
  • Data Platforms: Solid understanding of modern data platforms (Cloud, Lakehouse, Data Warehousing).
  • Consulting Skills: Strong consulting skills at both technical and management levels.
  • Data Mesh & Domain Governance: Experience with Data Mesh and domain governance is a plus.
  • Languages: Fluent in German and English.
