About the Position
Manager, Platform Growth and Operations
Hong Kong SAR
The Platform Operations team at Lalamove is dedicated to driving holistic solutions and actions to maximize marketplace transactions while maintaining a healthy service level for users. We are seeking a Manager, Platform Growth and Operations to lead the team in growing the online platform/marketplace. This role involves ensuring a good user experience through various business initiatives and online platform tactics for both users and drivers, driving product capability enhancement needs and priorities, and maintaining ongoing dialogue with our city operations teams. You will need to wear many hats, work smart, and iterate quickly.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide the team on reviewing market performance and driving various initiatives to grow the online platform business across all markets, combining data insights and local market intelligence. Areas include (but are not limited to) initiatives to sustain and grow user and driver retention and activeness (e.g., incentives, tactical pricing changes, order allocation), and growing the product offerings on the platform.
- Establish frameworks, processes, and workflows to facilitate better decision-making and enhance operational efficiency through data analysis, market intelligence collection, and collaboration with other Functional Departments and city teams.
- Drive marketplace product and capability enhancements by defining and articulating business requirements and ensuring a smooth end-to-end feature rollout at the city level.
- Collaborate closely with other Functional Departments on cross-functional initiatives. Support ad-hoc projects as required.
- Prepare the online platform budget for all markets and maximize the effectiveness and ROI of implemented campaigns and initiatives.
- Mentor and guide the team to bring the most out of them and support their personal and career development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operations with frequent use of analytics or data. Relevant experience in a high-growth start-up environment or online marketplace/platform preferred but not a must.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team.
- Strong business acumen and ability to make tradeoffs with clear business objectives in mind.
- Previous experience working with, analyzing, and presenting findings from large data sets.
- Proven track record of effective stakeholder and project management.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-cultural and functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluent proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Occasional travel is required.
