About the Position

Lexware, a leading provider of accounting solutions, is seeking a Marketing AI & Automation Specialist (d/m/w) to join our team in Freiburg im Breisgau. As a market leader, we support over 450,000 self-employed individuals and small businesses with our smart products. We aim to engage and inspire tax firms that frequently collaborate with our clients.

Our Steuerberater Marketing Team, currently consisting of four members, operates like a small agency within the company. We define goals together, combine our expertise, and maintain open communication. Artificial intelligence is integral to our daily work, and we are now looking to leverage AI in marketing more consistently for efficient processes and faster implementation of new ideas.

About the Company

Lexware has been a prominent name in accounting solutions for many years. If you're from the region, you likely know the brand not only for its software but also as a partner and sponsor of SC Freiburg or have seen our name on trams around the city.

As market leaders, we support over 450,000 self-employed individuals and small businesses with our smart products. We aim to engage and inspire tax firms that frequently collaborate with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, automate, and optimize our AI-driven marketing processes, from research to publication.
  • Set up AI-supported marketing reporting and controlling that collects, analyzes, evaluates data from our channels, and provides actionable insights.
  • Actively contribute your findings to the team and collaborate on adjusting or re-planning marketing measures.
  • Enable the team to use new processes independently and become more proficient in working with AI.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building automated AI workflows that run productively in daily work.
  • Several years of experience in marketing, web or marketing analysis, or marketing operations, including a solid understanding of metrics and their significance.
  • Strong hands-on mentality and eagerness to experiment: In our self-organized team, you will drive ideas independently, try out new things, and coordinate directly with other teams (e.g., IT or Compliance).
  • Clear and direct communication skills, ability to explain complex processes understandably, and willingness to address uncomfortable truths.
  • Interest in marketing, ability to empathize with the target group of tax firms, and a preference for agile work using Scrum in our marketing team.
  • Fluency in German (at least C2 level) is essential.

Important to Know: A computer science degree or background as a software developer is not required. Please send us a detailed application with your CV and cover letter, along with an example of an AI workflow you have built yourself – e.g., as a link, screenshot, or short video.

We Offer

  • Hybrid working conditions with a combination of office presence and home office, as per your team's needs and agreements.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Numerous opportunities for further education and development.
  • A great working environment recognized as a "Great Place to Work®."

  • Patrick: As Federation Lead, he is responsible for the strategic direction of our department – from product development to client support and marketing. As an experienced marketer, he also brings extensive knowledge about communication with tax firms.
  • Lina: As Marketing Manager, she coordinates all communication measures towards tax firms and works closely with our client support team members Olaf, Alex, Joel, and Sebastian.
  • Nico and Susanne: The media designer and copywriter are responsible for our vibrant presence on all communication channels.
  • Markus: As Product Owner, he is responsible for the further development of Lexware Office, focusing on the collaboration between tax firms and clients.
