Middle General QA Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Middle General QA Engineer to join our innovative banking team in Dnipro, Ukraine. This role involves both manual and automated testing of WEB applications and REST APIs within a microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Testing WEB applications and REST APIs (microservices architecture)
• Decomposing complex E2E scenarios into atomic steps and analyzing business logic by reading Java services code
• Developing and maintaining test documentation (test cakes, checklists) for manual and automated testing
• Developing, maintaining, and running automated tests
• Participating in Code Review (MR flow, Git) and running parameterized builds in Jenkins
• Verifying database states and analyzing server logs to localize defects
• Analyzing test results and controlling the process of fixing detected errors

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in manual and automated testing (Manual + Automation / General QA)
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated tests in Java 17+ (OOP, TestNG, REST Assured, Maven)
• Deep understanding of REST API, HTTP protocol, authorization, queues, and JSON validation
• Understanding of software lifecycle and development methodologies
• Ability to read Java services code and work with Git and Jenkins
• Solid knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, complex queries, SELECT/JOIN) and understanding of JDBC
• Ability to analyze complex chains of events and server logs using OpenSearch
