Our client, Toromont Cat, is a Canadian industrial company that provides equipment, power systems, and support services for industries such as construction, mining, and energy. The application is built on a Microsoft technology stack, including Azure,.NET, and an MSSQL database, and is used daily by internal staff to support core business operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Execute manual testing of web applications, APIs, and database-related functionality.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects in Jira.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high product quality.
• Participate in ScrumBan ceremonies and be ready to present your work.
• Review requirements and provide early feedback to improve product quality.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and test reports.
• Validate application behavior across different browsers and environments.
• Perform SQL queries to validate application data when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience testing web applications.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience writing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira/Boards.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience validating data in relational databases.
• Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• English level B2 or higher.

Nice to Have

• Basic understanding of Azure services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, Azure Test Plans).
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Basic knowledge of automation testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts.
• Experience testing role-based access control and authentication flows.
• Basic understanding of performance or security testing concepts.
