About the Position
We are seeking a Middle Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team and contribute to a cross-platform service for enhancing efficiency and automation of employee time tracking.
About the Project
A cross-platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android) and high-load service for improving the efficiency and automation of employee time tracking and attendance, which performs aggregation, processing, and visualization of user data, and performs search and filtering of data by multiple criteria.
We plan to rewrite the front-end to transition to a new SPA architecture that will allow adding new feature blocks to the product.
Responsibilities
As part of an experienced team, you will be responsible for:
- Clarifying and formalizing requirements (user stories)
- Planning tasks and providing estimates of effort
- Formulating proposals for implementing new features
- Developing system software code
- Developing software environment scripts
- Developing technical documentation for the project and maintaining its current state
- Conducting research to choose a method for solving problems
- Participating in architectural workshops
- Participating in daily coordination meetings
- Communicating with the customer, lead, and colleagues (email, messenger, voice)
- Participating in 1:1 meetings with the line manager
- Participating in coordination meetings regarding project requirements and goals
- Participating in presentations of results
Requirements
Ruby on Rails
Experience in developing web projects on Ruby on Rails (Devise, ActiveModel, background processes)
REST API
Experience in designing and developing REST APIs, integrating with SPA front-end frameworks (preferably Angular)
Single Page Application
Desire to learn new technologies in the SPA front-end stack
English – Intermediate
Intermediate English will be sufficient for interaction with other teams and the customer.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in writing automated unit and e2e tests
- Willingness and ability to work in a team
- Desire to learn new technologies in the front-end
