About the Position
We are seeking a Middle Ruby on Rails Developer to join our fintech startup in the restaurant industry. Our project helps restaurants and suppliers cooperate without losing checks and invoices, automating AP (Accounts Payable) and AR (Accounts Receivable) for companies of various sizes.
Our client list includes Airbnb, Dropbox, Stripe, Asana, Platinum Companies, Snap Kitchen, Palantir, Elephants Deli, and more.
Our technology stack includes: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, RSpec, Heroku, Bamboo (CI), PostgreSQL, Redis, and 3rd party integrations (Stripe, Plaid, QBO, Xero, Workday, and others).
The project is managed by a business team from the USA and our team from Ukraine. The InterLink team's responsibilities include architecture design, business logic implementation, refactoring, upgrading Ruby on Rails versions, technical support for the customer service department, and optimizing existing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing business requirements
- Fixing defects
- Providing technical support for user support queries
- Refactoring code and architecture
- Writing unit tests
- Analyzing and formalizing requirements
- Participating in weekly coordination meetings
- Participating in coordination meetings regarding project requirements and goals
Requirements
Core Skills
- Ruby on Rails: Experience in developing web projects using Ruby on Rails or another web framework.
- PostgreSQL: Experience working with PostgreSQL or a similar database like MySQL.
- English: Intermediate level or higher – communication with the client and team via voice.
Nice to Have
- PHP: Experience with PHP is a plus.
