Middle Ruby/RoR developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Middle Ruby/Ruby on Rails developer to join our team and work on scalable web applications with a focus on security and best practices.

What You Will Do

• Develop web applications across various domains with a focus on scalability and web security.
• Provide technical assistance in existing projects using best practices in web application architecture.
• Conduct code reviews in project codebases.
• Participate in project evaluations applying principles and methodologies to solve various problems.

What We Expect From You

• Expert knowledge of the Ruby programming language, including basic and advanced concepts.
• Solid practical experience in developing scalable applications on the Ruby on Rails framework.
• Experience in commercial development on projects of various scales and stages of readiness.
• Professional skills in working with databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Experience implementing modern development approaches, particularly using Hotwire.
• Proficiency in testing methodologies (unit and e2e tests) using RSpec, Capybara, and Cucumber.
• Skills in working in a team using Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Proficient user of the Linux environment.
• Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD (TeamCity), and task management tools.
• Understanding of application deployment processes using the Kamal tool.

Pluses

• Practical application of clean architecture principles and the use of dry-rb libraries.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of its principles.
• Additional experience with frontend frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, GitHub CoPilot).
• Knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem and related frameworks.
• Experience in building dynamic user interfaces using React.
• Experience managing monorepos with NX Workspaces.
• Analytical thinking, ability to analyze and optimize existing code.
• Experience in mentoring and willingness to contribute to the professional development of the team.
