Middle/Senior Backend (Golang+TypeScript) Engineer

About the Position

You’ll join a property technology platform in the MENA region, connecting millions of property seekers with real estate professionals and shaping the future of the regional tech ecosystem. The role focuses on building scalable backend services with TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js, while developing and improving existing Golang services that support how users search for and find homes.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and maintainable backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js
• Develop new features and support, maintain, and improve existing services written in Golang
• Own features and technical initiatives from requirements gathering through deployment and post-release support
• Refactor and modernize existing services to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to design solutions that deliver business value
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and technical decision-making
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to maintain system reliability and performance

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience, primarily with TypeScript and Golang
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including building backend services with Node.js and Express.js
• Practical experience with Golang, including developing new features and maintaining existing services
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices
• Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including S3, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS, and OpenSearch
• Strong ownership mindset, proactive approach, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
• Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher English, both spoken and written
