Middle/Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Position

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Middle/Senior Frontend Engineer in our rapidly expanding startup based in London. It was created to change the way people buy their glasses by rebuilding the entire experience. In a market populated by dinosaurs, we’re putting design and technology back at the heart of the process of buying a pair, making the journey fun and exciting without costing a small fortune. At our company, we also want the right choice to be as easy as wearing a great pair of glasses. That’s why we only partner with ethical factories and donate a pair to someone in need for every pair we sell. Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code;
• Design robust, scalable and secure features;
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;
• Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards);
• Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design;
• Comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience and track record of developing high-quality scalable code using Vue.js or React.js;
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or equivalent demonstrated experience;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Worked with agile methodology (Scrum ideally);
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills;
• Knowledge and use of JavaScript libraries like JQuery and CSS preprocessors like Sass, Less;
• Knowledge and use of Restful web services;
• Solid OOP and software design knowledge;
• Version Control – GIT;
• SEO best practices.

Nice to Have

• Familiar with Code Smells;
• Familiar with Design Patterns;
• Familiar with SOLID design principles;
• Familiar with AWS.
