Middle/Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java)

About the Position

ELEKS Quality Assurance Office is looking for a Middle/Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java) in Argentina. Our customer is among the top-5 health insurance companies in the US, serving more than 15 million members across five states and employing more than 20,000 people. We are helping to achieve our customer’s goals via developing and supporting the IT tools. Numerous applications and APIs, both for internal and external use.

Teams use agile methodologies like Scrum. The majority follow TDD and pair programming. The typical team consists of 6-8 developers and a product manager who is responsible for user stories and communication.

Technologies: Java, Selenium.

Responsibilities

• Develop Web site maps, application models, image templates, or page templates that meet project goals, user needs, or industry standards
• Develop and document style guidelines for Web site content
• Identify or maintain links to and from other Web sites and check links to ensure the proper functioning
• Establish appropriate server directory trees
• Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types
• Recommend and implement performance improvements
• Implement code refactoring and optimization methods. Post-refactoring and optimization results in the collective knowledge base as the best practices
• Work in pair with other developers, communicate with team members, and share thoughts and knowledge
• New functionality design. Estimating tasks

Requirements

• Overall experience in automation 5+ years
• Knowledge of fundamentals of QA methodology
• Web Testing, API Testing, Database Testing
• Java, TestNG (JUnit), Selenium, Appium
• Logging and Reporting, Git, Working with IDE
• Knowledge of tools like Postman
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Agile Methodology, Communication skills
• Solid skills in framework design
• Knowledge and understanding of automation patterns like Page Object, Page Factory, and related
• Proficient in using various tools, such as Maven, Gradle
• Previous experience with Test frameworks – JUnit, TestNG
• Previous experience with VSC – Git and flows
• At least an upper-intermediate level of English
