About the Client
Our client is a growing international company that provides a comprehensive crypto payment ecosystem. Role Overview
This is a unique opportunity to drive the compliance strategy in a fast-evolving crypto environment. As the MLRO, you will lead the development and implementation of the company's AML/CFT framework, ensuring alignment with EU and local regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining relationships with regulatory authorities and embedding compliance into every aspect of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and further develop the company’s AML/CFT framework, policies, procedures, and internal controls in line with applicable EU and local regulatory requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for AML/CFT matters for the Regulator, ensuring effective implementation of the risk-based approach across the business.
- Conduct regular AML/CFT risk assessments and audits to ensure ongoing compliance, identify potential control gaps, and drive improvements.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff to enhance their understanding of AML/CFT requirements and internal compliance responsibilities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to embed AML/CFT controls into business processes and operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in AML/CFT, compliance and risk management within regulated financial services or crypto-related businesses.
- Proven experience working in an MLRO role within a regulated financial services or crypto environment.
- Experience working with the Bank of Latvia on AML/CFT and compliance matters.
- Experience participating in MiCA licensing processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with blockchain analytics and transaction monitoring tools.
- In-depth knowledge of EU AML/CFT regulations.
- Languages: English, Latvian.
