Начальник відділу контролю регуляторної звітності

About the Position

NovaPay, an international financial service within the GK NOVA, is seeking a Начальник відділу контролю регуляторної звітності (Regulatory Reporting Control Head) to manage independent compliance control systems and ensure timely risk identification for regulatory reporting to the National Bank of Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Building an Effective Control System for Statistical Reporting: Implementing a risk-oriented system of independent control in accordance with NBU requirements, ensuring systemic control and timely detection of errors before submitting reports to the regulator.
• Ensuring the Quality of Regulatory Reporting: Conducting independent control of the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of regulatory reporting before its submission to the NBU.
• Effective Data Quality Control: Identifying, analyzing, and eliminating systemic causes of errors in regulatory reporting.
• Preparing Compliance Reports: Forming quarterly reports on the state of compliance risk and ensuring their timely submission to management bodies and the NBU.
• Enhancing the Maturity of the Regulatory Reporting System: Developing interactions with data-owning departments, implementing processes for early detection and minimization of risks affecting the quality of regulatory reporting.
• Increasing the Level of Control Automation: Implementing control procedures, checklists, automated checks, and analytical tools to enhance the efficiency of control processes and minimize the risk of errors.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in compliance, internal control, internal audit, risk management, regulatory reporting, or another second-line-of-defense function in a financial institution/bank.
• Practical experience in organizing or conducting control of regulatory (statistical) reporting, including verifying its timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
• Experience with NBU regulations and practical application of regulatory requirements.
• Experience in analyzing large datasets, identifying causes of errors, and assessing their impact on regulatory reporting.
• Experience in developing, implementing, or improving control procedures and internal processes.
• Experience in preparing analytical materials, conclusions, references, or reports for management or governing bodies.
• Experience in organizing interactions with business units to eliminate identified deficiencies and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
• Experience in managing a team or coordinating the work of employees.
• Practical experience in interacting with the NBU during audits, inquiries, or submission of regulatory reporting.

Nice to Have

• Experience in preparing quarterly compliance reports for management bodies and the National Bank of Ukraine.
• Certification in compliance, internal audit, risk management, or internal control (ICA, CAMS, CIA, DipIFR, or other professional qualifications).
• Practical experience in assessing the impact of errors in regulatory reporting on regulatory capital, economic norms, financial indicators, or other indicators used by the NBU for supervision.
