About the Position
We are seeking a full-time Net C# Developer to join our team. This remote role requires 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and proficiency in ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, and MS Test.
The Contractor will have the flexibility to work their own hours. However, this role requires 40 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday. The Contractor should be able to work from 9 am to 2 pm Eastern Standard Time.

We’re looking for smart, motivated individuals that are capable of working autonomously. The role will vary between enhancing the robustness of our application, adding automated unit testing where it is lacking, as well as creating integrations into new carriers, ecommerce platforms, and other 3rd party applications.
If you love challenges, are capable of thinking for yourself, and are great at problem solving, you are proficient and confident with Dependency Injection and Mocking, then we want to work with you.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the robustness of our application
- Add automated unit testing where it is lacking
- Create integrations into new carriers, ecommerce platforms, and other 3rd party applications
Requirements
Core Language and Framework Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Software Developer with.NET/C#
- Deep understanding of C# language features, syntax, and best practices
- Familiarity with the.NET Core runtime and its nuances
- Experience with ASP.NET Core for building web applications and APIs
- Strong experience using Dependency Injection
API Development and Integration
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core
- Experience with versioning APIs
- Understanding of different status codes and their appropriate usage
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation and testing
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and handling various data formats (JSON, XML, etc.)
- Proficient in using Postman for testing APIs
Entity Framework Core
- Strong Experience with LINQ, Func, Delegates, Actions
- Experience with Code First migrations
- Knowledge of EF Core performance optimization techniques
Unit Testing and Mocking
- Strong Experience with MS Test for writing unit tests
- Strong Experience with Moq
- Ability to write isolated unit tests for service classes, controllers, and other units of code
- Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) principles
Miscellaneous
- Experience with tools like AutoMapper for object mapping
- Experience with Git for version control
- Familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews (Bitbucket)
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with global error handling and generating appropriate responses for various exceptions
- Experience with Agile (Scrum or any other methodology)

Work hours & Location
This role is a remote/work from home position that requires you to be available to work at least 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri. You need to be reachable for questions and odd meetings/code reviews between 9am & 5pm EST. We are experienced in working with team members all over the world in different time zones and are flexible in finding times to work together but it has to be during these hours.
