Location: Leuven, Belgium

Type: Full-time

Compensation: EUR 45,000 - EUR 50,000 per year


About the Role

At NIQ, we are the most trusted data partner in the Tech & Durables (T&D) industry. We are looking for a New Business Developer to join our Leuven office and expand our current team. This role is crucial for our growth strategy, focusing on accelerating organic growth by generating short-cycle revenue opportunities and contributing to long-cycle revenue processes.


Responsibilities

  • Revenue Targets: Own, meet, and exceed individual revenue targets.
  • Client Acquisition: Target new clients through various channels and grow the business within the existing client portfolio.
  • Upselling Opportunities: Identify and create upselling opportunities by generating leads for retail measurement data and advanced NIQ services.
  • Sales Process: Execute the end-to-end sales process, including feasibility analysis, pricing, negotiation, proposal writing, and closing sales.
  • CRM Utilization: Monitor progress against revenue targets using CRM tools and make necessary course corrections.
  • Lead Generation: Utilize organizational tools creatively to generate leads and build internal networks.
  • Engagement Plans: Develop pragmatic engagement plans for key prospects and clients.
  • Sales Materials: Ensure all sales materials, including proposals and demos, are consistent and demonstrate industry best practices.
  • Project Initiation: Initiate and drive projects to successfully bring new product/market combinations to the market.
  • Collaboration: Work with other NIQ departments to ensure alignment and buy-in.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven sales experience with strong commercial and relationship management skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Languages: Fluency in Dutch, English, and French (ideally all three, but at least two).
  • Skills:
    • Good understanding of the Belgian T&D business dynamics.
    • Experience in Market Research and/or T&D Trade/Category management is a plus.
    • Familiar with retail tracking business services.
    • Ability to drive client interest and new business through creative proposals and solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to different client styles.

  • Compensation: Gross annual salary between EUR 45,000 - EUR 50,000, including holiday allowance and the 13th monthly payment.
