In that context, for our Leuven office, we are looking for a New Business Developer to expand the current team.
Responsibilities
- Own, meet, and exceed individual revenue targets (forecast and report out of targets and budgets);
- Target new clients via different channels and grow the business within the existing client portfolio, prioritizing client visits based on sales potential and building a sustainable external network;
- Identify upselling opportunities by creating leads for retail measurement data and more advanced/customized NIQ services, enabling to transform ad-hoc relationships into continuous partnerships;
- Execute end-to-end sales process from feasibility analysis, including pricing, negotiating terms, writing proposals, and closing the sale;
- Monitor progress against revenue targets with tenacity and course correct quickly where necessary by making maximum use of the available CRM tools;
- Utilize the tools available within the wider organization to generate leads and build your internal network;
- Develop pragmatic engagement plans for the key prospects & clients in your portfolio;
- Ensure that all sales materials, including proposals, software, and service demos, are consistent and demonstrate best in class within the industry;
- Initiate and drive projects to bring new product/market combinations successfully to the market;
- Work with other NIQ departments to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Requirements
- Good understanding of the dynamics of the Belgian T&D business;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
- Proven 1st sales experience, with strong commercial and relationship management skills;
- Experience gained in Market Research and/or T&D Trade/Category management is a plus but not mandatory;
- Familiar with the specs and usage of retail tracking business services within the market;
- Skillful in driving client interest and new business through creative proposal- and solution creation resulting in high client satisfaction level;
- Easy connecting with (potential) clients and ability to build and maintain own network among assigned clients & prospects;
- Both short-term and long-term results oriented;
- Excellent communication skills, ability to read other’s styles and adapt behavior accordingly;
- Language requirements: Dutch, English, French ideally but at least 2 of these ones.
We Offer
- Compensation: EUR 45,000 - EUR 50,000 gross per year, including holiday allowance and the 13th monthly payment. Bonus. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.
- This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based representing approximately 30% of on-target total cash compensation. SIP is variable, non-guaranteed, and subject to NIQ’s applicable plan terms, role eligibility, performance, and plan achievement.
