About the Position
PixelPlex is hiring an experienced Tech Lead to guide a Node.js development team and drive technical decisions across our Web department.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of backend and frontend developers
- Define and enforce technical architecture and coding standards across projects
- Own the implementation and continuous improvement of software development processes
- Design and build scalable, high-load backend systems using Node.js
- Make key technology and architecture decisions in collaboration with stakeholders
- Review code, guide technical discussions, and support the team’s professional growth
- Coordinate with product managers and clients on technical scope and timelines
- Ensure best practices in working with relational and non-relational databases
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software development
- At least 2 years of experience managing development teams in large service companies
- Proven track record of implementing software development processes
- Strong hands-on expertise with Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL/MySQL, React.js, Redux, ES6/ES7, TypeScript, RabbitMQ, Kafka, and Redis
- Experience building scalable, high-load systems
- Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases
- Deep understanding of application development principles
- Knowledge of blockchain technologies

- Experience with microservices architecture
- Background in mentoring or growing engineering teams from scratch
- Public speaking or technical writing experience
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
