Occupational Therapist

About the Position

We are seeking a Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join an SEN school in Leeds, supporting children with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist paediatric caseload within a school setting
• Complete functional, sensory, and developmental assessments
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Support pupils with sensory processing, motor skills, and daily living activities
• Work collaboratively with school staff, families, and the multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to EHCPs and educational outcomes
• Provide strategies and training to staff supporting pupils
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, ideally within special educational needs settings
• Knowledge of severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism, sensory processing, and complex developmental needs
• Ability to work independently within educational environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills
