About the Position
We’re looking for an Odoo 16+ expert to lead the technical evolution of our business-critical ERP ecosystem. This role starts as a flexible part-time position with a clear transition to full-time as you take ownership of our architecture, mentor the team, and drive engineering excellence. If you have 3+ years of Odoo experience and a leadership mindset, join us to build a scalable, high-performance platform from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Odoo solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Building and customizing Odoo modules, improving existing implementations, and keeping the codebase clean and maintainable.
- Driving architectural decision-making to ensure a robust, future-proof system structure.
- Optimizing system performance and troubleshooting complex production issues.
- Enforcing development best practices, including coding standards, testing discipline, and documentation.
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring consistent delivery quality across the team.
- Leading the technical direction of Odoo initiatives and supporting predictable, high-quality releases.
- Mentoring team members and contributing to team growth through guidance and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development experience (Odoo 16+ preferred).
- Strong Python skills and deep understanding of Odoo architecture, ORM, and module structure.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling in business applications.
- Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable system architectures and make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Confidence in running code reviews and raising overall engineering standards.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
- English at Upper-intermediate level.
Nice to Have
- Performance optimization experience.
- Third-party integrations (APIs/REST/XML-RPC).
- Strong Odoo frontend expertise.
- Experience leading or mentoring developers (e.g., team lead, tech lead, or similar responsibilities).
