About the Position
We are seeking a Payment Operations Specialist/Banking Operations Specialist for a contract role in Toronto, ON, with hybrid work options.
Responsibilities
- Investigate payment exceptions and discrepancies.
- Perform daily account and transaction reconciliations.
- Process and investigate wire payment transactions.
- Support MX and SWIFT payment investigations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues.
- Ensure payment processing aligns with operational procedures and service standards.
- Investigate payment discrepancies and exceptions.
- Perform reconciliations to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Support wire payment processing and investigations.
- Resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
- Work with internal teams to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accuracy and compliance with banking processes.
Requirements
- Experience with wire payments.
- Strong reconciliation experience.
- Experience with MX payments and SWIFT payment messaging.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in banking or financial services payment operations.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in payment investigations.
- Knowledge of payment operations and settlement processes.
- Experience with large financial institutions.
- Familiarity with payment compliance and operational risk.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $18-$19/Hour
Location
- Toronto, ON or Calgary, AB
- Work Type: Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite
