About the Position
Pedagogisk leder
Paletten Kanvas-barnehage is seeking a Pedagogisk leder to join our team. If you have a passion for children, a professional commitment, and a desire to make a difference every day, we want you on our team.
About the Company
Paletten Kanvas-barnehage
Paletten Kanvas-barnehage is part of the ideal kindergarten foundation Kanvas. Every day, our kindergarten is filled with play, laughter, friendship, discoveries, and small moments that matter. We are looking for a pedagogical leader who wants to be part of this journey and contribute to a safe, developmental, and inspiring environment for both children and staff.
The kindergarten is within walking distance of the bus and train, and has good parking options for those who drive.
At our kindergarten, play and outdoor life are at the heart of the daily routine. Through play – both indoors and outdoors – children explore the world, use their bodies, develop curiosity, and experience mastery and joy. We follow the children's paths with genuine curiosity, and we work purposefully with both the psychosocial environment and the physical play environments – because well-being, development, and security go hand in hand. We envision you as a pedagogue who likes to work project-based and is aware that small and large choices in everyday life can make a big difference for the children. We want a pedagogue who dares to think outside the box, initiate exciting projects, and work for a dynamic daily routine.
As a pedagogical leader, you will be an important professional support for your colleagues and a good role model in everyday life, ensuring that children meet safe adults who see both the group and the individual child. We believe you are someone who leads with the heart, asks smart questions, dares to challenge – and always puts the children first.
We ensure a smooth start through our Onboarding program, and newly graduated kindergarten teachers follow Kanvas’ guidance program during the first year as an employee. There is also the opportunity to participate in Kanvas’ development program for kindergarten teachers (KUL). As a pedagogical leader, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction and contribute to the entire staff working towards common goals. We offer a salary according to the current agreement from 592,600 to 684,400 NOK (from 0 to 16 years of seniority), with an additional allowance for relevant further education from 13,000 for 30 credits to 40,000 for a master's degree.

About Kanvas
Kanvas was founded as a parent initiative in 1986 and is today Norway's largest kindergarten foundation with ideal purposes. We have over 60 kindergartens in 11 municipalities in Norway. Kanvas has no owners, and any surplus from the kindergarten operations is returned to the foundation – for the benefit of the children and staff in our kindergartens.
Kanvas' ideal purposes are twofold. We aim to improve children's upbringing conditions and parents' everyday lives through the operation of good kindergartens. At the same time, we aim to increase the quality and status of the kindergarten sector through rethinking and competence development that is shared internally and externally. This is how Kanvas contributes to the further development of the kindergarten sector.
