Responsibilities

Own the architecture for major AWS engagements, from the first assessment through to live running.
Set the technical direction clients trust, and defend it honestly when the easy answer is wrong.
Lead migration and modernization programs across compute, data, networking, and security.
Build cost into the design from day one, so FinOps is a habit rather than a rescue mission.
Mentor engineers and architects across the practice and raise the standard of what "good" looks like here.
Work with sales and delivery leads to shape proposals you would be happy to deliver yourself.

Requirements

Deep, current AWS expertise across multiple domains, evidenced by certification, delivery history, or both.
A track record of architecting and landing large-scale cloud migrations or platform builds.
Fluency in infrastructure as code, containers, and modern CI/CD.
Strong security and networking judgment in regulated or high-availability environments.
The ability to explain a complex design to a CTO and to a delivery team in the same afternoon.
Comfort being the most senior technical voice in a client room.

Nice to Have

AWS Golden Jacket, or a live run at it.
Aviation or travel experience.
AWS Ambassador, Community Builder, Hero, or a record of speaking and writing in public.
Azure or multi-cloud exposure alongside AWS.
