About the Role
As a Principal Firmware Development Engineer, you will merge creativity with technical expertise to shape the future of technology. You will drive groundbreaking projects and bring new ideas to life within our automotive domain.
Responsibilities
- Development: Create embedded peripheral drivers and Human Machine Interface (HMI) system solutions, such as touch-sensing and capacitive-sensing technologies.
- Leadership: Provide guidance to team members and share best practices.
- Collaboration: Work with Test and Product Engineers to transition products into manufacturing phases.
- Validation: Partner with Software and Applications Engineers to ensure comprehensive product validation.
- Problem Solving: Lead colleagues during project development and solve higher-complexity problems by leveraging expert networks.
Requirements
- Education: Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Skills:
- Good understanding of how hardware, software, and firmware come together in a complete embedded product.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting schematics.
- Strong knowledge of C, with C++ experience valued.
- Solid grasp of embedded design principles.
- Experience with capacitive/touch-sensing or HMI driver development is a strong plus.
- Good working English.
