Infineon Technologies is seeking a Principal Firmware Development Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Lviv, Ukraine. In this role, you will merge creativity with technical expertise, shaping the future of technology and driving groundbreaking projects in the automotive domain.

Your Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Firmware Development Engineer, you will:

• Develop embedded peripheral drivers and Human Machine Interface (HMI) system solutions, such as touch-sensing and capacitive-sensing technologies.
• Provide guidance and share best practices with team members.
• Collaborate with Test and Product Engineers to transition products into manufacturing phases.
• Partner with Software and Applications Engineers to ensure comprehensive product validation.
• Lead colleagues during project development.
• Solve higher-complexity problems by leveraging expert networks.

Your Profile

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in embedded systems development (automotive experience is a plus).
• Good understanding of how hardware, software, and firmware come together in a complete embedded product.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting schematics.
• Strong knowledge of C, with C++ experience valued; solid grasp of embedded design principles.
• Experience with capacitive/touch-sensing or HMI driver development is a strong plus.
• Good working English.
