Principal Technical Program Manager (Analytics or AI/ML Platform)

Atlassian is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join our Analytics or AI/ML Platform team. This role involves defining product/program technical strategy, creating long-term vision, and ensuring successful delivery of large cross-organization initiatives. You will leverage deep domain expertise and technical acumen to shape technical requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business objectives, customer needs, product adoption inhibitors and opportunities, industry trends, and define a long-term strategy and roadmap for the platform and product components.
• Translate business objectives into technical systems problems and prioritize their solutions.
• Define specific systems programs and create a plan of action for realizing those programs.
• Partner with engineers and architects to influence progress on technical problems.
• Take a systematic approach to engineering problems, including prioritizing tasks, scoping out projects, defining objectives, and making consistent progress.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of technical programs from initiation to forecasting, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Manage complex dependencies and projects with a broad scope across the company.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience on software teams as Development Manager or TPM.
• Strategic thinking and ability to understand business objectives and translate them into technical problems and programs.
• Technical understanding of systems involved, including storage, networking, authentication, capacity management, service deployments, etc.
• Experience defining and running end-to-end complex technical programs.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
