Product Data Analyst

About the Position

SharksCode - a Ukrainian IT company specializing in developing high-tech software solutions and platforms in B2B, particularly in the iGaming sector.

We are looking for an experienced Product Data Analyst who will become a key partner for product teams in making data-driven decisions. This role is for a specialist who deeply understands the product cycle, can design and analyze experiments, and translates data into specific product solutions.

Responsibilities

Product Analytics

• In-depth analysis of user behavior: funnels, retention, segmentation, user paths in the product.
• Identifying drop-off points, conversion barriers, and opportunities for growth.
• Analyzing the impact of product changes on key metrics.

A/B Testing and Experiments

• Designing and supporting A/B tests from hypothesis to conclusion.
• Calculating the necessary sample size, test duration, and selecting success metrics.
• Statistical validation of results, identifying novelty effects and other artifacts.
• Fostering a culture of experimentation with product teams.

Analytical Tools and Reporting

• Creating interactive dashboards for product teams in Power BI.
• Automating regular product reporting.
• Maintaining documentation on metrics, definitions, and testing methodologies.

Collaboration with Teams

• Close work with Product Managers to form a data-driven roadmap.
• Advising stakeholders on data-driven decision-making.
• Supporting the launch of new features and evaluating their effectiveness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product analytics, preferably in product companies, fintech, or iGaming.
• Deep experience in conducting A/B testing: hypothesis formulation, experiment design, sample size calculation, uplift assessment, and statistical significance (p-value, confidence intervals, multiple testing correction).
• Proficiency in SQL (Spark/Athena/BigQuery/Redshift, etc.).
• Deep understanding of product metrics: Retention, Churn, LTV, ARPPU, Conversion Rate, Funnel analysis, Cohort analysis, DAU/MAU.
• Experience with product analytics tools: Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4, Firebase, or similar.
• Experience with Power BI or similar: creating interactive dashboards for product teams.
• Ability to verify data quality and reliability, detect data inconsistencies in product events.
• Skills in formulating clear analytical recommendations and communicating them to a non-technical audience.

Nice to Have

• Experience in iGaming / Fintech / eCommerce with work on revenue-driving products.
• Knowledge of Python or R for statistical modeling and analysis.
• Experience with Databricks, ClickHouse.
• Practical experience with ML: user segmentation, predictive churn, recommendation systems.
• Understanding of event tracking principles and experience with GTM/GA4/Firebase setup.
• Experience in building analytical Data Marts and semantic layers.
