Job description

Product Manager (m/w/d)

dibac Software GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach, Germany, specializes in ERP systems tailored for the chemical industry. We are part of the larger GUS Group, combining expertise to deliver sustainable and forward-looking software solutions.

About the Position

Join our team as a Product Manager to shape the future of our HSM product line. You will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy, ensuring compliance, and driving the product's success in a dynamic market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and shape the product strategy and roadmap for HSM within the GUS Group portfolio, including clear objectives, positioning, and value propositions.
  • Prioritize features, modules, and use cases based on market, competitive, customer, and internal requirements, with a focus on compliance, audit, and risk requirements.
  • Economic responsibility for product success: Co-create and manage business cases, pricing/packaging logic, pipeline and revenue contributions, cost/benefit analyses, and continuous optimization of profitability and growth in close collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Management. Actively support cross-sell activities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders – including development teams, solution designers, sales, marketing, consulting, and customer support – to ensure seamless product and go-to-market execution.
  • Define, structure, and validate product requirements (e.g., epics/user stories, acceptance criteria, release cuts) in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Define, track, and interpret key metrics to guide product success (e.g., adoption, usage, conversion, retention, NPS, time-to-value) and product-related quality and process metrics.
  • Coordinate and plan releases including go-to-market preparation, enablement (support, sales, marketing, etc.), documentation, and active coordination of dependencies (e.g., platform, integration, or regulatory issues).
  • Conduct product presentations and demos (internal and external) – from management to departments to key users and auditors.
  • Product marketing & thought leadership for HSM: Actively drive content and product communication (in collaboration with marketing), e.g., articles, webinars, use-case stories, whitepapers, release communications, ensuring consistent messaging and effective enablement for sales/consulting/partners.
  • Ensure the implementation of strategic product goals and continuous development of HSM aligned with clear outcome targets.

Requirements

  • Mandatory: Proven experience in software product management (B2B). You have managed digital products throughout their lifecycle – from discovery and prioritization to delivery and scaling – and can confidently justify and implement product decisions.
  • Understanding of regulated requirements and compliance-related processes: You can translate requirements into understandable product and process logics (e.g., roles/rights concepts, documentation obligations, evidence chains, approval and control processes).
  • Desirable: Experience in the chemical compliance environment. Ideally, you are familiar with relevant practices/requirements from the chemical industry (e.g., regulatory frameworks like REACH, audit requirements, documentation and evidence obligations) and can incorporate these into product decisions for HSM.
  • Strong stakeholder management & communication skills: You bring together different perspectives (business, tech, customer) and communicate complex topics clearly, target-group-appropriately, and decision-oriented.
  • Strategic thinking & good market understanding: You recognize trends early, derive positioning and priorities from them, and make informed product decisions – with an eye on customer benefit, competition, and feasibility.
  • Data-driven approach: Numbers, KPIs, and analyses are fundamental to you – you steer HSM with measurable outcomes and learn iteratively from usage data, customer feedback, and support insights.
  • AI native mindset: AI is not just a buzzword for you. You understand the impact of AI on our customers' world and how it will shape the business models of tomorrow. You stay actively informed and are eager to accompany the GUS Group on its journey to becoming an AI-native company.
  • Structured, clean work & reliability: You ensure that decisions, requirements, and results are comprehensibly documented (e.g., concepts, roadmap decisions, release notes, KPI reports). You consistently follow up on actions, track learnings and feedback, ensure transparency regarding status, risks, and dependencies – thus creating the basis for reliable implementation, auditability, and continuous improvement of HSM.

We Offer

  • Culture: Open communication, informal culture, and flat hierarchies
  • Teamwork: An engaged team and collaboration at eye level – with close exchange and mutual support
  • Development: Training and development opportunities, tailored to your role and experience
  • Onboarding: Structured, comprehensive induction – supported by experienced colleagues
  • Variety & Scope for Action: An exciting, diverse range of tasks with ample scope for action in a dynamic environment, where you actively shape processes and solutions
  • Benefits: Urban Sports Club, JobRad, Corporate Benefits, language courses (Babbel), 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours, hybrid working (office & remote), and much more!
