Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the professional and disciplinary management of your staff and will work to develop their potential in a targeted manner.
• You will be responsible for the budget, staffing, and the department’s financial performance.
• You will ensure medium- and long-term planning for demand, capacity, and utilization.
• You will bear direct responsibility for production and quality in multi-spindle manufacturing, with key performance indicators including OEE/yield, tooling costs, defect costs, and scrap.
• You are responsible for functions that support production and quality, such as maintenance, production control, measurement rooms, final inspection areas, and continuous improvement (CIP).
• You manage production based on MDE/BDE data and relevant key performance indicators and derive improvement measures from them.
• You will initiate and oversee lean management, continuous improvement, and optimization projects.
• You ensure that training and instruction sessions are conducted and that necessary work instructions are created and implemented.
• You will be responsible for plant operations and compliance with relevant labor, health, environmental, and safety regulations.
• You will assist with handling complaints, customer and supplier visits, and audits.
• You will prepare analyses and project reports and report relevant developments to senior management.
• You will work closely with related departments such as Quality Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Project Management, Industrial Engineering, and Production Control.

Requirements

• You have several years of experience working with the MS32, MS42, and MS52.
• You demonstrate initiative, assertiveness, and a strong sense of responsibility, and you actively drive improvements forward.
• You can rally employees behind shared goals and changes.

Nice to Have

• You have completed technical vocational training and received further training to become a master craftsman (m/f/d) and/or technician (m/f/d), or you hold a comparable, higher-level qualification.
• You have several years of leadership experience in a manufacturing company in the field of multi-spindle production and turning.
• You have experience in the financial management of a specific area of responsibility.
• You have knowledge of SAP, ProXia (MDE/BDE), and shop floor management.
• You have knowledge of KPI and OEE analysis and can derive appropriate measures from these results.
• You are familiar with the relevant regulations and guidelines for your area of responsibility.
• Your continuing education and professional development are up to date with the latest industry standards.
• You have good to very good written and spoken English skills and communicate confidently with internal and external contacts.
