About the Position

Competition for the position of Program Manager

East Europe Foundation, a Ukrainian charitable organization and a member of the EU network of partner organizations, is starting the implementation of a two-year program aimed at ensuring the resilience of civil society organizations, IDP and host communities, and micro and small businesses, in the situation of a humanitarian crisis resulting from the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Responsibilities

  • Perform management of the program focused on achieving the program objectives, including program planning, ensuring effective implementation, and reporting the program achievements.
  • Provide leadership and build effective work of the program team, supervision of the subcontractors and grantees to achieve project objectives and ensure timely implementation of the program.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the program’s beneficiaries and all types of stakeholders.
  • Design and ensure program approaches with a special focus on CSOs development, especially capacity growth in the sphere of civic-tech and innovation.
  • Performance of the EU requirements and application of EEF`s policies and procedures during the program implementation.
  • Other relevant duties shall be performed to ensure the successful program implementation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, development studies, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of respective experience; the ability to take independent decisions within the scope of responsibility to achieve the program results, and experience in working in a donor-funded project environment.
  • Knowledge of the civil society sector of Ukraine is an essential requirement.
  • Excellent management and organization skills; experience in building effective work of the program teams.
  • Excellent public presentation and project report-writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent writing skills; a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships with representatives from key stakeholders such as NGOs, local and national governments, private sector.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills in Ukrainian and English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), MS Project using experience will be an essential advantage.
