About the Position

Project Controls Sr Analyst - Schedule Lead

As a Project Controls Sr Analyst - Schedule Lead at Black & Veatch, you will play a pivotal role in managing project planning and scheduling within a hybrid work environment. This senior-level position offers the opportunity to influence internal and external clients, lead project forecasts, and support proposal efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Guidance: Demonstrate the capability of leading the project control function and provide guidance to less experienced project controls personnel.
  • Scheduling and Planning:
    • Lead the project controls scheduling team in plan and schedule preparation.
    • Interface with joint venture partners for planning and scheduling activities.
    • Ensure constructability is part of the planning process and apply it in key cost control processes.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead a team of project control professionals.
    • Coordinate planning on less complex projects after the baseline is in place.
    • Ensure systems are in place to know work status and identify issues proactively.
    • Interface with the management team to identify issues.
    • Advise field teams and HO PCM on matters affecting project success.
    • Lead/direct PJC activities with JV and S/C construction partners as applicable.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • Four-year Bachelor's degree with six or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience.
    • OR no four-year Bachelor's degree required with eight years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
