Python Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our remote-friendly outsourcing team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality digital experiences for global clients while taking an active part in various stages of the project lifecycle. This role involves more than just coding; it’s about shaping technical solutions, working well with other like-minded peers, and representing engineering excellence in client-facing engagements. You'll be part of a collaborative culture that values initiative, technical craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance, highly-scaled backend systems using Python
• Provide technical leadership, ensuring code quality and alignment with client needs
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers
• Guide and mentor junior developers and promote a culture of continuous learning
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure that coding standards are upheld and improved if necessary
• Identify technical risks and opportunities, communicating proactively with stakeholders

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience working with Python
• Solid experience with Django
• Experience working with Celery
• Proficient with Relational Database Management Systems (e.g. PgSQL, MySQL)
• Strong communication skills and experience in client-facing roles
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior developers

Nice to Have

• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Previous exposure to IaC tooling, ideally Terraform
• Experience using public cloud services, ideally AWS
• Familiarity with Wagtail CMS
