About the Position
QA Automation Engineer (Java\Kotlin)
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Java to join our fintech team in Kyiv, Dnipro, abroad, or remotely. You will be responsible for enhancing our QA processes and contributing to our mission of transforming how individuals think about and manage their financial life.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of strategic items and continuously improve the quality of the QA team and its roadmap.
- Establish and promote best practices in quality assurance, leading by example.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and bridge existing gaps by implementing BDD approach.
- Develop automated tests for Web and Mobile (UI and API).
- Perform smoke/regression tests before the release and provide functional, regression testing.
- Increase the code base of automated tests of the application.
- Report directly to the CTO, help coordinate and lead multiple offshore teams.
- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Document, demonstrate, and disseminate solutions through technical reports, diagrams, and blogs/vlogs.
- Support and develop junior and mid-level QAs by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
- Understand business needs, be a creative problem solver, and stay calm and effective while given urgent tasks.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in writing automation frameworks in Java.
- Strong knowledge in QA processes and test methodologies.
- Understanding principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience in writing API and UI tests.
- Comfortable working with Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Selenium.
- Familiarity with BDD approach.
- Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to scope, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to recruit, develop, and mentor junior or mid-level staff members.
- Strength in problem-solving and issue resolution with good attention to detail.
- English level - Intermediate or higher.
Nice to Have
- Experience in testing of mobile applications.
- Experience in performance testing.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Confluence and Jira.
