About the Position

QA Lead Embedded Systems (IoT)

We are seeking a seasoned QA Lead for Embedded Systems (IoT) to join our engineering team in Guadalajara, Mexico. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative consumer electronics products.

Responsibilities

• Direct client interaction, status reporting, and escalation management.
• Define and sign off on test strategies.
• Implement comprehensive test plans for mobile devices.
• Develop clear and concise test reports and release notes.
• Analyze and provide feedback to development teams.
• Maintain and optimize test environments.
• Enhance testing processes and contribute to mobile development techniques.
• Execute consistency checks across devices, browsers, and operating systems.
• Document and manage identified bugs.
• Analyze solution designs and code during peer reviews.
• Develop automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects.
• Build and maintain regression test suites.

Requirements

• 7+ years in QA, with 2-3 years in a lead role.
• Strong client-facing communication experience.
• IoT / Embedded / Wireless background.
• Full-time commitment to working on-site at our Guadalajara facility.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and executing automated tests for complex software systems.
• Solid working knowledge of embedded systems principles.
• Proven experience with Embedded Linux environments.
• Practical experience in embedded testing methodologies and tools.
• Good level of Python for scripting, test automation, and data analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with the Android SDK.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, specifically within a Yocto Project environment.
