Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our technical department in Yerevan, Armenia. Responsibilities include performing technical tasks, creating test scenarios, and collaborating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical tasks according to agreed deadlines and project specifications, and update their status accordingly.
• Develop testing scenarios and test cases, and conduct software product testing according to pre-designed scenarios.
• Collect and analyze testing results, and present them for error correction and improvement.
• Investigate, analyze, and classify the sources of incidents.
• Master and apply project-specific approaches and knowledge.
• Collaborate with all parties involved in the software product creation process.
• Participate in all necessary meetings during the workflow.
• Participate in Release/Hotfix events according to company processes, if necessary.
• Work with other team members to improve technologies, study best practices, share and apply acquired knowledge.
• Perform other functions assigned by the direct supervisor and arising from the job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Proficiency in REST or WebSocket technologies, data formats (JSON, XML, Binary), and data transfer protocols (HTTP, FTP, etc.).
• Skilled use of Postman and Swagger tools, as well as MS Office and Jira applications.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices, IT fundamentals, and Agile processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and find calm solutions in stressful situations.
• Attention to detail and effective time management skills.
• Fluency in Armenian, English, and Russian. Knowledge of other languages is considered an advantage.
