About the Position
Our client is a leading European defense company that, in partnership with a Ukrainian organization, offers innovative solutions for the aerospace, defense, security, and digital technology industries. Their products and systems support critical missions and cutting-edge technological capabilities around the world.
We are currently looking for a Quality Controller who will ensure product quality across all stages of the manufacturing process and perform inspections in line with established standards.
The role also involves supporting non-conformance processes, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Verification activities and manual inspection of complex mechanical & electrical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products using appropriate calibrated measuring equipment to confirm conformance to approved manufacturing processes.
- Non-Conformance Management. Report, facilitate, and participate in product non-conformance activities. Chair material review boards to determine disposition and suitable corrective action.
- Program, operate, and maintain automated CMMs.
- Maintain calibration status of measuring equipment using both internal references and external calibration services.
- Maintain Certificates of Conformity and other relevant documentation received with delivered and manufactured items, as required.
- Liaise with internal departments and subcontractors, ensuring that quality requirements are understood and maintained.
- Perform any other related duties, as required, which may include multi-tasking in other on-site manufacturing areas.
- Undertake audits to internal audit programs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review and improvement of industry practices to ensure compliance with quality standards and other relevant standards.
- Management of calibration for electronic and mechanical measuring equipment.
- Conduct manufacturing process verification audits to ensure compliance with design and applicable standards.
- Plan and execute Quality Investigations using appropriate Quality tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality within aerospace, space, or defense industries (or related manufacturing sectors relevant to the Ukrainian market).
- Higher education in a relevant field (engineering, manufacturing, quality) or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
- Good understanding of GD&T standards.
- Practical experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) in accordance with applicable quality standards.
- Auditor certification in quality standards (e.g., ISO) would be an advantage.
- Experience with Mitutoyo and/or PC-DMIS software would be a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Quality Control techniques in a highly regulated manufacturing industry.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Experience with manufacturing environment, equipment, and safety procedures.
