Risk Manager

About the Position

Join WhiteBIT as a Risk Manager to shape the future of Web3 and blockchain technology. Manage risk frameworks and ensure security for over 8 million users.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and own the risk framework, including risk appetite and exposure limits.
• Monitor market, liquidity, and counterparty risk.
• Monitor and analyze P&L and risk exposure, distinguishing performance drivers from risk exposure.
• Review risk parameters with the trading and quant teams.
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the resilience.
• Define and maintain Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and early-warning systems.
• Prepare regular risk reports for senior management.
• Coordinate the work of risk analysts and provide mentorship.
• Support incident response and crisis management for trading-related events.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Ops, and Engineering teams to ensure comprehensive risk identification and mitigation planning.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in risk management, including 2+ years in crypto or digital assets.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of market microstructure and how trading strategies generate and hold risk exposure.
• Practical knowledge of market risk metrics and methodologies - VaR/CVaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, P&L attribution.
• Proficiency in working with data (SQL), BI tools (Tableau/Grafana), and automating KRIs/reporting.
• Hands-on experience with crypto spot and derivatives markets.
• Knowledge of risk identification methodologies and practical application (SWOT, checklists, environmental analysis, expert assessment).
• Hands-on experience with crypto platforms and DeFi protocols.
• FRM, CFA, PRMIA, or similar certifications are a plus.
