Roku Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Roku Developer with 5 years of experience in BrightScript to join our Swedish tech provider team, focusing on AndroidTv, TVos, and Amazon FireTV app development. Responsibilities

• Develop Roku application using BrightScript and Roku SDK
• Collaborate with other developers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth application performance.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Roku app development.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Work closely with the product management team to understand project requirements and deliver on time.
• Ensure compliance with Roku's development guidelines and app store requirements.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience developing Roku applications using BrightScript.
• Strong knowledge of Roku SDK, SceneGraph, and related development tools.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Experience in video and media-based development projects, including DRM, advertising, analytics, and online video platforms (OVPs).
• Understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to implement designs.
• Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Fluent English

Nice to Have

• Experience with other streaming platforms (e.g., Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV).

Our client is a Swedish tech provider that is currently developing AndroidTv, TVos, and Amazon FireTV apps for Video streaming. Their team is around 50 people. Most of them are located in Sweden.
