About the Position

Hansestadt Stade is seeking an experienced professional in civil engineering with expertise in structural engineering for the role of Sachgebietsleitung Ingenieurbauten. This position focuses on the planning and project management of bridge constructions and maintenance within the Roads and Bridges department.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Technical Oversight: Lead and take responsibility for the engineering projects within the Roads and Bridges department.
• Project Management: Manage, coordinate, and support new construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair projects in structural engineering.
• Focus on Bridges: Special emphasis on bridge construction, maintenance, repair, condition assessment, and technical development.
• External Coordination: Supervise and manage external engineering, planning, and consulting firms, as well as other contracted service providers.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective project execution, considering technical, legal, and municipal requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, authorities, utility providers, project partners, and other public and private stakeholders.

Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience: Proven professional experience in planning, managing, executing, or overseeing engineering projects.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge in structural engineering, ideally related to bridge construction, maintenance, hydraulic structures, port facilities, or similar infrastructure.
• Documentation Skills: Proficiency in handling planning, execution, and existing documents, and the ability to evaluate technical solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in working with administration, authorities, project partners, service providers, and political bodies.
• Language: German language proficiency at least at C1 level.
