About the Position
We are seeking an SAP MDG Technical Architect/SME to shape and deliver a high-quality Material Master Data solution by translating functional needs into robust technical designs, workflows, rules, and integrations. You will guide governance, data quality, and clean-core practices across delivery and testing-apply now to help build reliable master data foundations.
Responsibilities
- Translate functional material master requirements into SAP MDG technical designs
- Assess technical feasibility and propose alternatives and trade-offs
- Lead end-to-end SAP MDG solution delivery for Material Master Data
- Design workflows, BRF+ rules, and data model extensions for governance processes
- Implement create/change/extend change request processes with auditability controls
- Architect and build integrations between SAP MDG and SAP/non-SAP systems
- Ensure solution stability, scalability, and a clean-core approach with minimal customization
- Support testing execution, defect triage, and technical issue resolution
- Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance controls for master data
- Implement and monitor data quality rules and analytics to improve data accuracy
- Collaborate with functional SMEs to refine specifications and run alignment workshops
- Guide technical decisions in design authority forums and manage delivery risks
Requirements
- 2+ years SAP MDG experience in Material Master domain delivery
- 2+ years Master Data Management experience across governance and quality processes
- Proven technical leadership in design authority discussions and stakeholder advisory
- Strong project delivery skills across end-to-end solution implementation and testing
- Hands-on workflow design skills including SAP MDG workflows and BRF+ rules
- Solid integration skills with SAP and non-SAP systems using APIs, IDocs, and web services
- Advanced English proficiency (C1, Advanced)
- Effective communication skills to translate functional requirements into technical outcomes
Nice to Have
- SAP S/4HANA integration experience across on-premise, cloud, or hybrid landscapes
- SAP BTP experience for integration and analytics
- ABAP enhancement experience for SAP MDG custom development
- Data migration and harmonization experience for master data programs
- Experience with AI-driven data quality tooling and automated validation
