About the Position
We are seeking a hands-on SDK Lab Technician to manage our hardware test lab and ensure every SDK release is validated across all supported platforms before it ships. You'll work closely with developers and take full responsibility for lab operations, test execution, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a growing physical test lab (Linux, macOS, Windows, Android, iOS devices)
- Run release validation tests across all supported platforms; sign off or block each release
- Extend and maintain the automated test suite as the SDK evolves
- Keep machines, OS images, and toolchains up to date
- Monitor lab health and respond to failures
- Report test results to the team weekly
Requirements
- 1 year of experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian): SSH, systemd, networking, package management
- Shell scripting (bash) - can write and maintain automation scripts
- Networking fundamentals: NAT, DHCP, reverse tunnels
- Comfortable with physical hardware (ARM SBCs, setting up machines from scratch)
- Detail-oriented - you are the last checkpoint before a release goes out
Nice to Have
- Android ADB experience
- Any additional scripting (Python, Node.js, or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines or device farms
