Responsibilities
As a member of our central finance department, you will be responsible for:
- Independently managing the daily financial operations (travel expenses, banks, intercompany settlements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting) of one or more companies within the corporate group
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards
- Critically reviewing and analytically validating financial data
- Creating reports and providing internal and external accounting information
- Acting as the contact person for external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and authorities
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns, statistical reports, tax refund applications, and the annual income tax return
- Responsible for the valuation, accounting, and reporting of financial instruments and investments in accordance with HGB and IFRS regulations
- Responsible for the closing processes within the Brainlab Group
- Acting as the contact person for IFRS 16 topics within the Brainlab Group
Requirements
- Commercial education or degree with a focus on accounting, taxes, controlling, or similar
- At least 5 years of professional experience, particularly in accounting and the closing process, and knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and HGB
- Proficient in Excel and SAP-Analysis for Office
- Excellent accounting knowledge in IFRS and HGB
- Knowledge of SAP applications is advantageous
- Fluent in German and English
- Analytical mindset and the ability to enjoy processing new information and independently implementing solutions
