Senior Android Engineer

About the Position

Backbase is expanding its presence in the APAC region with the opening of our Business Development Centre (BDC) in Hyderabad, India. We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad and help us establish and scale up our new hub in Ho Chi Minh City.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for our Android efforts.
• Build a converging path that prepares other developers for their projects.
• Seamlessly integrate the Backbase platform into our customers’ systems.
• Build apps mainly using native technology.
• Build beautiful code, run tests, and coach a team of developers.
• Provide support through advice, mentoring, audits, and training.
• Meet and exceed customer desires, leaving behind an impeccable impression.

Requirements

• Developed at least three apps, of which at least one is available via Google Play.
• Excellent in reading code to analyze quickly.
• A mentor who enjoys helping other developers grow.
• Proficient in mobile development for Android, with best practices to teach.
• Expertise in Kotlin, with Java still in your memory.
• Ability to deliver speedy and cost-efficient solutions.
• A ‘getting things done’ mentality.
• Eager to learn and deliver outstanding presentations.
• Ability to share knowledge and explain concepts clearly in training and workshops.
